Position summary

Provide client logistic support through our U-rides service line; for the transport of goods and/or merchandise; in strict compliance with shift work schedules, safety standards and planned routes.

We are looking for a professional to fill the position of Driver for our Fleet® service line.

Responsibilities(19)

  • Provide logistical support to the customer through our U-rides service line.
  • Know the logistic service and logistic lines of service for the delivery of goods and merchandise. (Supply and delivery of materials, consumables, spare parts and tools - Delivery of packages, merchandise, correspondence and/or packaged food).
  • Know the logistic service line for mobilization of goods and resources (Travel and transfers).
  • Stay alert when driving.
  • Deliver orders to the customer, meeting delivery and dispatch requirements (signed delivery form, on-site photo, or any other company procedure).
  • Have all legal documents required by law.
  • Meet all country, city and state transit regulation requirements.
  • Carry out all maintenance and vehicle checks to ensure good condition (oil and coolant levels, tire pressure, brakes, turn signals, among others).

  • Organize delivery routes; considering alternate routes to prevent setbacks.
  • Run the Check List for every parcel loaded in the vehicle.
  • Review the delivery order and compare with the invoice of the products to be dispatched.
  • Prepare a report of deliveries, returns, and/or complaints filed during your working shift.
  • Report emergencies, delays and/or accidents to your immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain professional conduct.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer.
  • Keep a log of miles driven (starting and ending mileage).
  • Keep the vehicle clean.
  • Be identified with the corporation and its ethical and moral values.
  • Undergo periodic drug testing in accordance with applicable law.

High school diploma
Experience
Minimum 2 years
Languages
English / Spanish (essential)

Basic qualifications (11)

  • Proven experience in vehicle handling and customer logistics support for goods transportation.
  • Must be an honest, trustworthy, proactive, responsible person with a service-minded, positive attitude.
  • Have a valid driving license (class C) and all country legal documents required by law to perform the job.
  • Must know how to use GPS and navigation apps.
  • Know delivery and alternate routes to prevent setbacks.
  • Be able to deal with traffic pressure.
  • Have good time management skills.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Other requirements

  • Undergo: a medical examination, only after a conditional offer of employment and when required by law or the client; drug testing, in accordance with applicable law; and a background check, with your written authorization in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
